Managing Director Digital Infrastructure | Investment Bank

CLIENT
Our client is the Global Infrastructure arm of one of the worlds largest banks.  Their Infrastructure business, with primary operations in London, New York and Hong Kong had a principal focus on M&A and the Equity Capital Market within core Infrastructure, Regulated Power & Utilities and Renewables.

BRIEF
We were mandated to appoint a new Managing Director to lead the banks’ Digital Infrastructure business globally focussing on Telecom Towers, Fibre and Data Centres.  This was anticipated as being the core area of growth for the bank.

STRATEGY
Our clients’ primary concern for this mandate was discretion and the control of information flowing to the market.  As such we commenced the search initially only identifying, not approaching, potential individuals of interest.  We presented our selection to the bank for approval before then targeting this highly selected shortlist.

RESULTS
We appointed an industry recognised leader in Digital Infrastructure M&A for the bank whilst only disclosing the banks’ strategy in this space to a very small number of prospective candidates.
