Director | Forensic Accounting

Big Four Firm London

Novare is working with one of the traditional “Big Four” to make a key Director appointment in their Major Projects Advisory practice.

This well established and highly regarded team provides strategic advice around P3M, Commercial Governance & Assurance, and Strategic Asset Management to Major Project and Asset Owners / Investors within the Infrastructure, Power & Utilities and Defence markets. Engagements are always at a Strategic level, with typical interfaces being at C-Suite and Boardroom level.

This team has grown significantly over the past 3 years, and has ambitious future plans. To support this further they are looking to appoint an elite Director level individual

The role is for a Chartered Accountant with Forensic Accounting experience gained in a major project/programme setting, ideally within Infrastructure or Construction. In addition to this, the successful candidate will need to understand the role of a Quantity Surveyor on similar projects – this could be experience gained having worked in the capacity of a QS previously, or via exposure to Commercial functions in previous/current roles.

The role will incorporate a mixture of delivering high level engagements, for example advising CFO’s on project and programme performance, conducting strategic project reviews, reviewing accounting and commercial processes and controls and delivering advice on best practice. Additional responsibilities will include managing/mentoring others, and involvement in business development activities.

As a minimum we require someone who holds Chartered Accountant status, whilst ideally this would be combined with a Quantity Surveying qualification. Excellent stakeholder management skills are required, with the ability to interface with both clients and internal stakeholders at the most senior level.

This is real growth area for the client, growing circa 20% year on year, and as such for the right people this creates an opportune environment for personal progression.

Novare is committed to Diversity & Inclusion and encourages applications from all demographics.
